Additionally, she was awarded the Honda Award as the nation's best softball player in 2001, when the Wildcats won the national title and again in 2002. The Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball team (WWAST) purpose is to increase awareness via exhibition and celebrity softball games of the sacrifices and perseverance of our soldiers and demonstrate their capability to conquer any obstacle. The goal of our team is to show amputees they are able to show their true self through sport as well as rehabilitation.
